Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a session?

Booking a session with me is simple – Find the “Contact” page at the top of the page and fill out the form! You can also email me directly at allirphotography@yahoo.com

What should I wear for my portrait session?
It is very important to wear an outfit that feels like you and that you’re comfortable in. The outfit that you wear will help choose the location and set the mood for your photos. Before you think about wearing a lot of neutrals, consider bright colors that pop on camera. If you’re doing an engagement or family session, you do not want to be too “matchy-matchy”! Accessories like big necklaces, bracelets, hats, earrings and fun shoes photograph well. Accessories make the session look and feel more styled.

What is your weather policy?
Outdoor photo shoots run the risk of Mother Nature not cooperating. If it is sunny or cloudy the day of your session, GREAT! Clouds can actually help produce and even the lighting, but sunny days are beautiful as well! We will reschedule your session if it is raining, too dark, or too windy. I will contact you the morning of your session to give an honest assessment of the weather. Texas weather can change at the last minute, so it is best to wait as long as possible before making the final call.

How long does it take to receive my proofs from a portrait session?
It takes between 1-2 weeks to receive your proofs. I will email you a Google Drive link with your proofs, as soon as they are ready!

I need my pictures sooner than the 1-2 week turnaround time.  How do I get them sooner?
A rush fee can be purchased for $75. When purchased, you will receive your proofs 2 days after your session.

Booking Fees / Cancellations / Rescheduling

BOOKING FEES: 20% of your session price is required upfront to reserve your date. This is Non-Refundable. No exceptions. This fee covers initial communication, all planning, location hunting, and block off a specific time frame for your session.

CANCELLATIONS: If you “no call, no show,” you are forfeiting your booking fee and session. Please be mindful that when a time is booked for you, I am holding that spot for only you. Therefore, I am not able to schedule someone else. Please do not “no call, no show.”

RESCHEDULING: I completely understand that life happens. People get sick, and things come up. If you need to reschedule for any reason, please try to give me 48 hours’ notice. If you happen to fall ill the day of your session, please reschedule. Your photos will look better if you are feeling well rested and at your best!
